Description

Job Summary:
Lead a product development team in Biel, Switzerland, delivering gate driver solutions from concept to series production, including circuit design/simulation, transformer development, and low/high-voltage testing, while coordinating across internal teams and external partners. Ideal for an electrical engineer with 5+ years’ experience, proven technical leadership, strong SPICE and lab skills, and high ownership.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead of the product development team in Biel/Switzerland focusing on:
    • Development of gate driver solutions from specification to series production following internal processes
    • Development of transformers used in gate driver solutions
    • Design and optimization of analog and digital circuits with calculations and simulations
    • Evaluation of new circuits and components
    • Performing of various investigations
    • Performing of low- and high-voltage measurements/characterizations incl. type testing
    • Elaboration of internal technical documentation and reports
  • Alignment with internal (e.g. marketing, application engineering, project management, IC design, quality, operations, sales, finance, HR) and external (e.g. suppliers and customers) teams
 
Education and work experience:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering with focus on power electronics and/or analog/digital electronics
  • Minimum 5 years’ industry experience in power electronics or analog electronics
  • Experience in leading and developing a technical team focused on product development
  • Experience with spice-based simulation software such as Simetrix or LT Spice
  • Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage measurement techniques
  • Preferably experience with gate drivers
  • Preferable experience with digital electronics and code/software development
  • Preferably experience with design/layout software of electronic circuits
  • Preferably experience with EMC and isolation coordination standards
