Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform product safety testing and compliance evaluations in accordance with applicable international standards and certification requirements
• Prepare, review, and maintain certification documents, test reports, and compliance records
• Work with external safety expert consultants, international safety agencies and internal product development teams to ensure that the safety requirements are well understood and executed
• Responsible for the proper specification of safety requirements within the NPI teams and Marketing
• Drive the certification process with consultants and international safety agencies
• Support factory inspections and compliance requirements associated with product certification programs
• Investigate certification and safety compliance-related issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions to ensure continued compliance
• Monitor evolving global regulations, safety standards, and certification requirements to maintain product compliance
Education and Experience
• Degree in electronics engineering or related field
• Experience working with power electronics design, semiconductor technologies, and power conversion systems
• 3+ years Safety engineering or product compliance experience
• Experience in laboratory operations and associated compliance requirements
• Proficient in technical documentation management, and report generation
• Proven capability in handling complex projects and being effective while interfacing with different teams
• Thorough knowledge of safety standards such as VDE 0884-17 and GB4943 is an advantage
• Experience with UL/IEC 62368-1 and UL 1577 standards and compliance requirements
• Experience working with certification agencies such as UL, TÜV, VDE, CQC or similar organizations
• Very good command of spoken and written English
