Position Description:
The Lead
 Mental Health Clinician (Autism) is a key member of the therapeutic team at Positive Development! The Lead Clinician will work in collaboration with other clinical team members, including Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists, to provide a true developmental approach of excellence to children and their families. Developmental interventions aim to build and strengthen a meaningful emotional relationship with the client, harnessing on their individual interest and gearing to their specific needs. We use the relationship to assist the client in moving to higher developmental levels and more functional behavior capacities. The person in this position will have an important role in supporting the family in understanding the client and how to help reach their highest potential. Training on the Developmental model will be provided. Clinicians will primarily provide services in the client's home and will document and report on the client’s progress. The clinician will also provide support to a paraprofessional who is delivering 6 to 15 hours a week of in-home developmental interventions. Clinicians may be asked to support program development, lead training groups, and facilitate social club groups as additional job responsibilities. Finally, clinicians must attend administrative meetings led by our operational support staff.

Requirements:
- Must possess clinical licensure in the State of Florida
- Graduate degree in related fields:
- Social Work
- Marriage and Family
- Cognitive Health
- Psychologist

Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of experience managing caseloads in a related field (Autism preferred)
- Experience providing community based individualized support and services to families
- Experience working with clients with different sensory, cognitive profiles, and cultural backgrounds
- Responsive, responsible, and reliable
- A genuine natural, robust, and playful disposition
- Must have reliable transportation & be willing to provide in-home services
