According to CDC, the prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has risen dramatically to 1 in 36 Americans and early identification has faced significant disruption since the start of COVID 19 pandemic. The demand for ASD diagnostic assessments is growing and waiting times are on the rise. 
 
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist specializing in the assessment and diagnosis of ASD. Someone who will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide diagnostic recommendations by:
  • Utilizing a range of specialized assessment tools to evaluate developmental and behavioral patterns. 
  • Applying knowledge and expertise to identify ASD and support individualized care planning.
  • Collaborating with team, overseeing data collection, scoring procedures and interpretation ensuring quality and consistency for each assessment. 
The role involves communicating with families, creating a supportive environment for clients and peers, and mentoring team to uphold best practices.
 
Responsibilities
  • Conduct and/or supervise comprehensive diagnostic ASD evaluations using a range of assessment tools to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Analyze and interpret data        
  • Provide feedback to clients after evaluations
  • Communicate the findings of the evaluation to all team members
  • Provide mentorship and/or guidance to team members on best practices, maintain a high-quality standard of care across all assessments
  • Utilize standard Diagnostic report template to produce high-quality reports within 14 days of assessment appointment
  • Ensure all assessments and documentation meet regulatory standards
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and standard of practice in psychological assessment and treatment
  • Develop and refine training resources that help in the data collection and scoring procedures to maintain quality diagnostic accuracy
  • Participate in standard quality improvement initiatives to enhance diagnostic practices
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in ASD diagnostics and share insights with teams to improve practices
  • Manage your schedule, including scheduling assessments and feedback appointments, maintaining report writing time, and rescheduling any cancellations or make-up appointments
Requirements
  • Licensed Psychologist Credentials
  • Doctoral Degree
  • Trained to administer a range of assessment tools including but not limited to:
    • DP – 4
    • CARS QPC / ST
    • Greenspan
    • WISC
    • BASC
    • ADOS – 2 (Certified)
    • Vineland
  • Extensive knowledge of DSM – 5
  • Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, bend, kneel or squat to be at eye level with clients
  • Experience working with and being comfortable around children and families (not just adults).
  • Previous experience or a strong interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorders.
  • At least 1 year of experience providing ASD evaluations
  • Complete work within designated time
  • Open to virtual setting
