Job Description
Point of Rental is seeking a Product Designer with demonstrable experience in UX modernization, turning complex legacy software applications into modern, cloud-native SaaS design standards. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of Point of Rental’s user experience for Point of Rental’s core products - rental management systems (RMS) and supporting product ecosystem.
This position will be responsible for UX design of the product ecosystem with a focus on AI enablement of our R&D team. We have multiple teams using the latest AI tools to rapidly code solutions. The product designer will own the outcome for enabling our dev teams with AI design libraries so that we have strong UX/UI consistency across our solutions.
We are searching for candidates who have used multiple AI products for design and rapid prototyping and know the strengths and weaknesses of each approach very well. You must have exceptional communication and facilitation skills to collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, product designers, software engineers, and users to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Reporting to Point of Rental’s Director of Product, this position offers a unique opportunity to lead a highly-visible user experience transformation, collaborate with the team, customers and users, and leave a lasting impact on our product suite. You’ll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive, impactful solutions that meet user needs and align with business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
Own the customer journey and user experience, representing the voice of the customer in collaboration with product managers and the SCRUM team:
- Lead the UX redesign of core web and mobile software products.
- Create wireframes, rapid prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate ideas and solutions.
- Enable software engineers, product managers, and others with a flexible, global AI design library that will produce UX/UI consistency for rapid prototyping and AI-coded solutions.
- Take ownership of our design system and component library, ensuring consistent use and expansion across our products.
- Collaborate closely with the team to refine requirements and ensure designs solve user problems effectively.
- Partner with software engineers to ensure design feasibility and a seamless implementation process.
- Facilitate a regular cadence of design reviews to showcase the user experience to stakeholders, receive iterative feedback, and align on timely signoff of designs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing with customers to validate and refine designs.
- Balance simplicity, functionality, and aesthetic quality to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5-7 years of experience in UX product design with proven experience leading UX modernization efforts (B2B SaaS experience preferred).
- Experience modernizing large-scale, complex enterprise and/or ERP software.
- Proficiency in Figma, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process and results.
- Experience with AI design prototyping and enabling AI coding teams with design libraries to ensure consistency.
- Ability to create user-centered designs informed by research, data, and feedback.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and own key steps in alignment and signoff on designs.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- A growth-oriented mindset, openness to feedback, and a desire to continuously improve.

Location: Remote/Hybrid
The Product Team at Point of Rental is generally remote with hybrid work in our Dallas/Ft-Worth office. We use the office as a tool to workshop and collaborate with our team and stakeholders but most time is spent remote. Preference will be given to Texas residents. For remote team members, travel to Dallas/Ft-Worth at least once per quarter will be required.
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt. Base Salary + Commission + Benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision) + 120 Hours PTO + 100% 401(k) Matching (Up to 4%). 100% Remote Work Environment with expected Quarterly Onsite Meetings.
The base salary for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, experience and training, skills, licenses and certifications, and education among other factors.
