A Senior Product Lead is the most senior product person inside an app group, in this case Konami. This is normally a director level role and up, leading both the product roadmap (given the business objectives) as well as the game’s product team itself. This person is a key member of the game’s leadership group, reporting directly to the game’s business owner.

Responsibilities

  • General - Own performance, strategy, and roadmap for the product. 
  • Roadmap - Building and managing the product roadmap given the business objectives.
  • People Management - Directly hire, onboard, grow, direct & manage product managers and owners inside the app group. In this context, responsible for the exact R&R and way of work of product team members.
  • Leadership - Play a key role in leading the app group alongside the business owner, economy & BI lead, tech lead and creative lead.
  • Own the performance, strategy, and roadmap for one or more key product/business areas, study the competitive landscape within a social casino and in adjacent genres, including casual and mid-core, and be responsible for the full product/game lifecycle, from writing specifications to working with multi-disciplinary teams: design, art, and engineering.
  • Drive the product requirements that define the roadmap, coming up with well-defined specifications, including wireframes that can be used by the team to build a world class user experience. You will also ensure product acceptance criteria are met in this process.
  • Product and business performance will be driven forward by you through owning and analyzing game metrics: retention, monetization, engagement.
  • Direct analysis and collaborative analysis with the data team will help you develop insights from game and player data and action against these insights to improve product performance.
  • Understand our players deeply by engaging with customer support, player community, social media, and forums - ensuring that your work is responsive to their needs and desires. And it will be down to you to optimize the features and events under your remit and to utilize sound product judgment, articulate product strategy, and present clear measurable objectives that drive towards our business goals.
  • As a lead PM, you will also need to coach and mentor other PMs in the team, while also being able to assess their performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define the overall product vision, strategy, and business model.

 

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a product group 
  • Able to articulate, build and establish product lifecycle process and infrastructure
  • Ready, willing, and able to do hands on PM work as needed
  • Strong data driven analytical skills and be able to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity
  • Background in gaming. Highly grounded and business oriented
  • Experience with Tableau, or similar data tools
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro
  • Deep experience in one or more of the above - analytics, player centric, UI/X, game designer, monetization
