Own and optimize the performance of Games developed for the myVEGAS Slots franchise.

Develop working relationships with the key stakeholders, functional managers, and product leaders in the Burlingame Games Studio, on the myVEGAS franchise, and throughout playSTUDIOS.

Anticipate, plan, hire, and manage against personnel requirements for the Games Studio in Burlingame.

Represent and advocate for the Games Studio, its contribution to the myVEGAS business, to playSTUDIOS initiatives, and to senior management as well as other Company stakeholders.

Facilitate, compel, and make day to day product, operational, and team decisions, in partnership with the Game Studio leadership and team members.

Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to optimize game features, launch strategies, and drive business results while creating fun experiences for users.


Responsibilities

General

  • Set the pace and cultural tone for the myVEGAS Games Studio and steward the working environment to be collaborative, purposeful, urgent, and positive
  • Identify market needs and business goals for the product
  • Own the games strategy, roadmap, feature definition, team health, P&L, and overall performance of the product.
  • Cultivate partnerships with MVM app owners and the Hong Kong studio; providing regular product updates, collaborating on product initiatives, and facilitating impactful game launches.
  • Cultivate talent with a compelling vision for the team members’ individual roles and opportunities within the franchise and the Company.

 Product

  • Collaborate with Product management team. Share market/competitive insights, product performance, and app learnings. Lean on PM team to learn from one another and improve our strategies, products and performance. 
  • Align the overall product roadmap with the current business needs and evangelize with cross-functional and leadership teams
  • Concept, design, and execute innovative product features aimed at improving acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization, and their accompanying marketing and CRM campaigns and promotions.
  • Measure the success of product features after release and optimize their performance through rapid, data driven iteration
  • Analyze metrics and user feedback in real time to derive insights on user trends and behavior

Technology

  • Manage and direct the technical team to ensure that short-term imperatives and long-term evolution and stability are serviced and balanced
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities to leverage or contribute technologies between my myVEGAS game creation and our other apps to maximize efficiency and effectiveness across our portfolio
  • Make choices that are sensitive to and mitigate technical debt of the client and backend

Creative

  • Ensure that expectations are clear and resources are organized to deliver creative execution across the app and all CRM channels that achieves the PLAYSTUDIOS brand standard

Operations

  • Manage the operating structure and expenses of the Games Studio, including enabling and making personnel decisions, optimizing outside services, reviewing and confirming allocations, and all other expenses that impact myVEGAS Game Studio income statement

Reporting

  • Lead the reporting of Game Studio performance and strategy to internal and external stakeholders; including Product Updates, Franchise Reviews, and Annual Plans
  • Represent the Game Studio and team to the Company including Senior Staff, Operating Team and the Company at large

Required

  • 4+ years product management experience in a quantitative and/or game design role
  • 2+ years of experience managing free-to-play social and/or mobile games and/or ecommerce products
  • 2+ years designing Slot games
  • Deep understanding of free-to-play game systems, economies, currencies and balance

Platforms

  • Strong analytical capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to craft clear, concise product requirements and specifications documentation
  • Understanding of UI/UX design concepts and principles
  • A passion for creating innovative, fun and compelling games and gaming experiences
  • Performance-driven self-starter, team player, and leader
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree from a top university. Technical and Masters degree a plus
  • Gaming, e-commerce, or casino experience a plus
