Playground Games is looking for a skilled and experienced video games industry Senior Recruiter on a contract basis.

About the role: 

As Senior Recruiter, you will join a busy team owning the end-to-end recruitment process from taking briefings through to closing the req.  You will support our Recruitment Lead to deliver company’s ambitious expansion plans by working with the Design and Productions teams across two exciting Game teams, who build some of the most exciting titles on Xbox, Forza Horizon and Fable.  

 

This is a full-time contract role for a period of 12 months to cover the maternity leave. The role is based at our studio in Royal Leamington Spa, with a hybrid work model in place, we are in the studio at least 3 days per week.  

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates  
  • Work closely with hiring managers across Engineering department leaders throughout the recruitment process 
  • Maintain effective interview process, gather all relevant information from candidates, ensuring feedback is available in a timely manner 
  • Plan and prioritise workload, keeping on top of interviews, coordinating effectively with hiring managers and candidates 
  • Remain active with job boards, social networks, and any platforms for finding quality candidates, help create and post job descriptions and social media announcements 
  • Partner with the HR, Recruitment team and senior managers to design, improve and implement innovative recruitment activities 
  • Represent Playground Games at industry events 
  • Be a strong champion of diversity hiring strategies, develop processes to identify top talent in underrepresented groups.  
 

What you’ll bring: 

  • Recruitment experience within the video games industry, either in-house or agency ideally specialising in Engineering 
  • Examples of exceptional communication and coaching skills, expertise in supporting managers to make good hiring decisions.  
  • Strong knowledge of database management, and internet search methods 
  • Familiarity with job boards and tools used across the industry to target candidates.   
  • High attention to detail 
  • Effective communication skills 
  • A passion for recruitment and video games
