Planned Companies – Full-Time Day Porter

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm

Location: Radnor, PA

Pay: $19.00/hour

Summary

Residential and commercial property owners, now more than ever, realize how big a role Janitors play in protecting the health of tenants, guests, and vendors. So, Planned Companies Building Services (PBS) is looking to hire friendly and detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common area and bathroom cleaning services.

You’ll be ensuring tenants, guests and vendors have a clean, healthy and safe property to live or work in. It’s important to be polite and respectful as well as thorough and observant of what more can be done to provide the highest level of service.

Key Responsibilities
•    Perform rapid and thorough turnovers of pre-op and recovery rooms between patients, following facility protocols for cleaning and disinfection.
•    Clean and sanitize patient care areas, furniture, equipment, and high-touch surfaces.
•    Replace linens, restock supplies (gowns, blankets, socks, hand hygiene products), and prepare rooms for the next patient.
•    Prepare linen sets: fitted sheet, blankets, pillow case, gown, socks, patient belonging bag
•    Empty used linen carts as they fill
•    Dispose of regulated medical waste and sharps according to OSHA and facility guidelines.
•    Respond promptly to spills, contamination events, and urgent cleaning requests.
•    Document cleaning activities and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
•    Collaborate with nursing and teams to meet turnover time goals without compromising safety.

Qualifications
•    High school diploma or GED required.
•    Prior experience in healthcare EVS or surgical setting preferred.
•    Knowledge of infection control and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in fast-paced environments.

•    Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
•    Time management to meet turnover deadlines.
•    Effective communication and teamwork with clinical staff.

The following are required upon being hired:   
Physical 
PPD (TB test) 
Blood draw to check for antibodies of the following: 
Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Chickenpox, Hepatitis B  
COVID VACCINATION REQUIRED  
Flu Shot required.
