Pinnacle Health Services –EVS Field Technician – Job Description

Shift: Monday-Friday AM/PM shift coverage, no overnights

Pay: $21/hr+

Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Environmental Services (EVS) Field Technician to join our healthcare support team. This role provides critical coverage across multiple medical facilities, stepping in where staffing is needed most. The ideal candidate has strong experience in healthcare environmental cleaning and is committed to providing safe, sanitary environments for patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires substantial travel between sites and flexibility to support operations

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Provide EVS coverage across multiple healthcare facilities as staffing needs arise
• Perform high-standard cleaning and disinfection including:
  1. Terminal cleaning of patient rooms
  2. OR cleaning and turnover
  3. Infusion, Pre-Op, and Post-Op spaces
  4. Infection prevention & PPE compliance
  5. Train and support new EVS team members on cleaning procedures and protocols
• Respond to service calls including spills, isolation room needs, and urgent sanitation requests
• Comply with all hospital safety standards, including HIPAA and infection-prevention guidelines
• Safely handle chemical cleaning agents and equipment per manufacturer and regulatory standards
• Track supply usage and report inventory concerns to leadership
• Maintain professional communication with facility leadership and nursing staff
• Assist with floor care tasks such as buffing and stripping if needed (training provided)
• Complete required medical clearances and LMS training to stay compliant with hospital requirements
• Use basic written documentation to log assigned work and completion notes
• Uphold a positive and courteous professional image with patients, staff, and visitors
• Support a continuous quality improvement mindset by identifying and reporting hazards or opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

• EVS healthcare experience required (Terminal / OR / Infusion / PPE / etc.)
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available 24/7 when needed
• Ability to travel across the entire territory (Shore points à PA à NJ)
• Live near the main office for dispatch
• Own reliable vehicle and maintain a clean driver’s license
  1. Gas and tolls reimbursed
• Fluent in English with clear communication skills
• Polite, professional, and presentable at all times
• Ability to complete onboarding medical shots and training modules
• Basic writing skills for documentation and reporting
