Compensation:

New hires for this position typically start between $21.79 and $27.24 hourly, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

What you'll do
The Accounts Receivable Clerk II is responsible for preparing and processing claims and invoices for the business unit; pursue collection of all claims until payment is received. This position maintains the business units and client financial records, and performs other work associated with the billing process.
 

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage client accounts; prepare accurate invoices and statements, claim generation and submission, collection and posting of payments.

        Identify and resolve patient billing questions and issues.

        Use assertive follow-up techniques with payers, providing information, corrections and problem resolution.

        Post payments and adjustments to ensure accurate balances.

        Reconcile insurance remittances and payments, research claim denials and generate claims corrections.

        Provide accurate billing reports to management and administrative staff.

        Responsible for the timely submission of all patient billings to payers.

        Correct and resubmit billing denials and errors to payers and Accounting department.

        Identify and resolve any trends for non-payment of claims, communicating all issues to the Accounting Supervisor and the Business Unit Director.

        Identify and resolve all credit balances or refunds.

  • Completes month end process to Accounting in a timely manner.
  • Participate in education activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What you'll bring (required qualifications):

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Preferably you'll bring (preferred/desirable qualifications):

  • Two year associate degree in a related field
