Compensation:

New hires for this position typically start between $28.08 and $35.10 hourly/annually, depending on factors such as work location, experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, internal equity, and market conditions. While the full pay range is provided to support pay transparency, individual compensation will vary within the range based on these factors.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Effectively plan methods of inspection, order of priority, the creation of MRO for disposable tooling and administrative and office needs for the department, and insure uniform methods of inspection on all shifts. Quality Inspectors work directly for this position.

 

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the activities of all Quality Inspection Personnel at respective Plant
  • Prioritizes individuals and maintains coverage for all areas for the inspection of parts raw materials and nonconforming products
  • Coordinates customer returns and containment activities
  • Coordinates first article template generation and assignment
  • Responsible for the work center priority and cadence report outs to other departments.
  • Coordinates Material Review Activities for the manage nonconforming parts and materials
  • Coordinate Engineering Liaison Request for customer
  • Performs Corrective Actions
  • Maintains Safety standards in the area
  • Schedules and approves activities
  • Evaluates and administers training needs for all in the area
  • Sends out updates for Inspector time off requests to Manager, report up any employee conduct concerns
  • Contributes to the inspection of jobs in the department
  • Generation of FAI and final review and storage of permanent records retained.

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of MRP planning tools: Calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gages, steel rules and various other measuring indicators.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills. 
  • Core skills needed; production and processing, quality control analysis, near vision, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, evaluating information to determine compliance to standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
(Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

 

  • Ability to visually and physically inspect parts.
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with measuring tools
  • High School Diploma or GED. 
  • Coordinates certification activities and expiration of certification calibration activities in the department.
  • Request for Certification of Conformances, RMA details where needed
  • 1+ years’ experience in aerospace or commercial quality assurance inspection. 

 

PREFERRED

  • 1 year of Previous Lead Experience
