POSITION SUMMARY: The Building Parts Assistant is responsible for deliveries to contract growers and equipment repair in the parts department. The Building Parts Assistant also loads and unloads parts equipment and supplies as well as provides excellent customer service while working the Parts Counter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Selects parts and equipment from inventory to be picked up or delivered to growers or Field Service Representatives according to prescribed instructions. |
2. Works the parts counter giving the growers and service people the proper supplies and parts making sure the supplies and parts are properly charged out, shipping Spee Dee and UPS packages as well as answering the phone. |
3. Assists with on site repairs to equipment which is brought to the parts department. |
4. Loads and unloads parts, supplies and equipment. Places parts in proper storage location. |
5. Cleans Vehicles, buildings and warehouse (includes keeping inventory orderly and neat) |
6. Responds to emergency weekend equipment needs by carrying a pager on weekends and holidays. |
- Other duties as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS and BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Considerable knowledge of maintenance, repairs of live production equipment. |
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Workspace. |
· Considerable ability to operate power tools and machinery. |
· Working knowledge of driving and traffic rules and ability to operate equipment. |
· Some knowledge of parts inventory control practices and procedures. |
· Ability to communicate verbally and to follow written instructions. · Ability to lift over 80 pounds. |
