In this key role, you'll support the Complex Manager in driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the Cold Spring facility by implementing the Pilgrim’s Management Method. Serving as an internal consultant, you'll collaborate with leaders and team members across the organization to identify opportunities for operational excellence, improve processes, analyze performance data, and support strategic initiatives. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, strong career advancement opportunities, and occasional travel to sister facilities for development and learning opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and support continuous improvement implementation across the facility, including programs such as 6S, Standardization, Abnormalities Management, and Complex Goal deployment.
- Maintain and monitor complex action plans to support operational objectives and performance targets.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the facility and the corporate operational excellence team, helping ensure successful implementation and understanding of company initiatives.
- Collect, organize, and analyze operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and recommended actions for improvement.
- Provide regular updates and reports regarding continuous improvement activities and implementation progress to plant leadership and corporate teams.
- Facilitate meetings to review implementation status, monitor results, and drive accountability.
- Train, coach, and support team members in continuous improvement tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of problem solving, process improvement, and operational excellence throughout the facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
What You'll Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; all majors are encouraged to apply.
- Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint required.
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with data analysis, pivot tables, graph creation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership: Strong teaching, coaching, facilitation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Capabilities: Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
