Description

 Assures that company employment, labor relations hiring policies and practices comply with Federal and State Labor Laws. Knowledge of recruiting, interview, hiring and/or referring for hire applicants for vacant positions for management and hourly. Considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of production, maintenance, clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company’s organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. 
  • Maintain Communication with Department heads regarding hiring needs
  • Interview job applicants and check qualifications against job requirements
  • Conduct interviews for various Salary Management and Management Support openings as well hourly openings.
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts, both internally and externally, which includes posting vacancies, establish and maintain positive working relationship with external recruiting sources including recruiting agencies, adverting using various media outlets, attending local and collegiate career fairs, etc.
  • Create and keep hiring process updated
  • Create and keep Flow Chart updated
  • Maintain applicant records
  • Assemble required information to comply with AAP reporting requirements, quarterly and at the end of the fiscal year
  • Assist with problems and concerns as needed in Human Resources
  • Performs various other duties as needed or as directed by the Human Resources Director
 Qualifications:
  • Computer Skills-Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • 1-2 years’ previous experience in direct sourcing and recruiting passive candidates required
  • Experience using JobVite and other active sourcing tools
  • Ability to apply good judgment and professional integrity in decision making
  • Excellent Communication Skills a must
  • Trustworthy – Will be Handling confidential material
  • Strong organizational, follow up and negotiation skills required
  • Minimum 1-year experience preferred dealing with I-9’s and knowledge of acceptable documents for employment purposes
  • SAP, JobVite, Kronos or other experience a plus
  • Problem Solving & Multitasking
  • Prior supervisory experience
 Relationships:
Internal: Works directly with the Human Resource Director, HR department and frequent communications with all department heads. Works with Corporate Compliance team on immigration and affirmative action related matters.               
External: Applicants, Federal and State employment laws. Regular contact with various media sources, such as newspapers for advertising vacancies, etc.
