Summary of Opening: 
EGG TRUCK DRIVER
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  Pick up eggs from each grower farm twice a week and keep consistent schedule for each farm
Loading and unloading of eggs
Truck should be unloaded, washed, and disinfected by end of each day
 
The typical schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday starting around 6am until done hauling designated loads. Typically, a 10 to 12-hour workday.
Works occasional Wednesdays for driver meetings and deep cleaning trailers.
Work all holidays that fall on weekdays except for Christmas.
The individual selected for this position will be responsible for driving a truck from the hatchery to and from various grower’s farms throughout the area. Successful applicants will also realize that they are representing Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation whenever they are driving a company vehicle, making sure to always follow the rules of the road. 
  Description of Duties/Qualifications:  
  • Must have a valid Class A CDL with a minimum of 12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience within the previous 36 months.
  • Must have excellent attendance habits. 
  •  The nature of the position is very physical. 
  • You must be able to drive large trucks in all types of weather and have the ability to chain wheels, if needed. 
  • Must be able to lift/push 100+ lbs. 
  • Must have a valid CDL Class A license, a good driving record, a drug-free record and must pass a DOT physical. 
  • Vision correctable to 20/20. 
  • Must possess good decision-making ability. 
  • May also be required to do other Hatchery related jobs. 
  • Good work ethic and ability to work as a team with other drivers and Hatchery employees. 
  • Ability to work in hot and dusty environments. 
  • Normal workdays Monday – Tuesday, Thursday –Friday – work any scheduled holidays. Sometimes we do work on Saturdays if needed. 
  • Start times vary with seasons, normal start times are 5:30 to 7:30 am and finish work by 6:30 pm. 
  • Must be able to operate a manual CMV
