POSITION SUMMARY The Feed Mill Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all feed mill activities which includes developing and improving processes by implementing the best practices and current technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Provide team leadership to feed mill staff.
• Directs all functions of feed production.
• Manages all transportation and ingredient receiving processes.
• Maintains favorable relations with local growers and suppliers.
• Ensures compliance with FDS regulations and all government regulations, laws, and standards.
• Observe all company policies and supports company affirmative action efforts.
• Other duties as assigned

• Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.

• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.  Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 3 - 5 years of production management with feed & grain in highly automated feed mill or equivalent experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Self-motivated/ Self -starter.
• Ability to identify and prioritize workload.
• Good analytical skills
• Good project management skills
• Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
• Ability to work across functions and build a team relationship within the company
