Position Overview: | |
The Partnerships and Advocacy Specialist is a strategic role within PIH Liberia’s Policy and Partnerships department. Reporting to and working in close support of the Director for Policy and Partnerships (P&P), the Specialist helps advance PIH Liberia’s advocacy agenda and strategic partnerships in pursuit of strengthening Liberia’s public health system. They will contribute expertise to the design and delivery of advocacy initiatives, assessing the local and global landscape, identifying windows of opportunity for high impact advocacy, and supporting the development and use of advocacy networks and coalitions that reinforce PIH Liberia’s mission and the Liberian Ministry of Health’s (MOH) strategic priorities. Working alongside national and international collaborators, they will help identify shared interests, activities, and strategic directions, and support the P&P Director in cultivating and stewarding relationships and coalitions on which this work depends. They will also serve as a key relationship manager with MOH and civil society partners, supporting resource mobilization across the full business development lifecycle, from prospect research and donor intelligence to the development of high quality technical proposals and concept notes, in support of both internal PIH and government led funding efforts. This position is critical for interdepartmental coordination and for mentoring PIH staff in strategic partnership development, advocacy, and coalition building. | |
