Description

The Queen’s Heart Institute (QHI) of The Queen’s Health System is currently seeking an electrophysiologist for program development and expansion. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient/outpatient consultation and proficiency in all dimensions of contemporary EP procedures, including device implantation and management, as well as ablation techniques such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Experience and/or interest in lead extraction program development is also preferred. In addition, the candidate will engage in educational and research activities, including mentoring of cardiovascular fellows, internal medicine residents and medical students. Academic appointments are given through the John A. Burns School of Medicine and are commensurate with clinical and academic experience.
 
The Queen’s Heart Institute (QHI) is the largest cardiovascular physician group in the state of Hawai‘i, dedicated to a patient-centered, team-based approach that aspires to the highest standards of excellence and compassion. In addition, QHI serves as the primary teaching faculty for the University of Hawai‘i Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or EC FMG certification.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.
  • Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease or board certified within two (2) years of hire date.
  • Fellowship trained in Adult Cardiovascular Diseases.
  • Satisfactory completion of EP training program
  • Qualified for an appointment on the faculty of the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Base salary begins at $600,520/year  with opportunity for productivity and quality incentives.
