Our Hospitalist team who specializes in caring for patients during their stay in the hospital. The hospitalist’s primary focus is providing medical care to a patient from the time of admission until the patient leaves the hospital.  We review a new patient’s past medical records, notifies the primary care physician, and performs a comprehensive history and physical examination when a patient is admitted. We coordinate medical care while patients are admitted and is available to spend time with the patient and their family to discuss the patient’s care. We also work with nurses, case managers, and other physicians to design and coordinate an individual treatment plan for each patient.
We are fortunate to have many highly qualified Hospitalists and support staff, which means patients may have more than one Hospitalist and support staff to manage their care during their stay.
About Us
Hospitalists and support staff at The Queen’s Medical Center provide a high level of care to all patients, to help you heal faster. They monitor patient’s daily care to ensure that coordinated efforts during their stay get and get them back to an optimal level of health. As patients improve and daily medical care is no longer required, studies show that patients can often make a better recovery at home. When it is determined that the patient is ready to be  discharged, the patient’s primary care physician will be updated on the progress and discharge plan.
