About the Role

The Onboarding Specialist serves as the dedicated guide and advocate for all new clinical hires during their onboarding and transition-to-practice journey. The Onboarding Specialist liaises with Corporate departments, Operational Leaders, and the Transition to Practice Program to ensure that new clinicians are fully supported from time of hire, integrated, and equipped to thrive within the organization.

By proactively identifying barriers, problem-solving challenges, and serving as a liaison with key stakeholders across the organization, the Onboarding Specialist plays a pivotal role in optimizing the new hire experience and strengthening long-term clinician retention.

Duties & Responsibilities

Onboarding & Integration

• Serve as a resource and concierge for all new clinical hires at time of hire

• Guide new hires through organizational processes, resources, and support structures to ensure seamless integration.

• Monitor and track onboarding milestones, ensuring timely completion and addressing gaps or concerns.

Retention & Engagement

• Actively monitor new hire satisfaction and engagement levels, identifying potential barriers to success or retention.

• Partner with HR and Clinical Leadership to provide early intervention and solutions

• Facilitate connections between new hires

Collaboration & Communication

• Serve as a liaison between new clinicians and departments such as Operations, HR, Clinical Education, Data Integrity, and IT to resolve barriers.

• Communicate progress, insights, and emerging themes to the Director of Clinician Experience.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by gathering feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance the clinician experience.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree

• 1–2 years related experience

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build trust and rapport.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Working knowledge of computer systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Preferred

• Experience working in a healthcare or clinical education environment.

• Background in clinician onboarding, engagement, or retention initiatives.

• Familiarity with onboarding programs, employee engagement, and development
