Pet Paradise is actively seeking a Sr. Director of Facilities to oversee the maintenance operations across multiple pet boarding and day camp facilities. This role ensures all locations are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with industry standards and regulations. The Sr. Director of Facilities will develop and implement maintenance policies, manage regional maintenance teams, and coordinate with site managers to support daily operations.
Essential Functions of the Sr. Director of Facilities: 
  • Provides strategic direction for the facility management department in support of overall company goals. 
  • Leads the facility management program and supervises the regional facility managers (RFMs) and their technicians. 
  • Develops and ensures implementation of a comprehensive facility management program to ensure safe and functional resorts and adherence to our brand offering.  
  • Oversees the implementation and maintenance of the facility management work order system (Service Channel) to ensure timely, quality repairs and resort staff satisfaction. 
  • Establishes and ensures achievement of department KPIs including work order execution, quality, customer satisfaction and operating and cap-ex budgets.  
  • Conducts regularly scheduled facility meetings with team leadership to ensure department goals are achieved relative to safety, quality, timeliness, cost, and customer satisfaction.  
  • Works with finance and operations in developing comprehensive maintenance and cap ex budgets in compliance with budgetary guidelines.  
  • Ensures adherence to safety and fire protection and prevention programs, including safety inspection tours of the facility and implementation of corrective actions, as necessary. 
  • Reviews the department’s policies and procedure manuals for revisions and makes recommendations to the COO. 
  • Participates in surveys/inspections by external agencies such as Fire Marshall, Insurance Risk Managers and the like. 
  • Negotiates and oversees all services performed by outside contractors, vendors, and suppliers for fulfillment of maintenance and repairs.  
  • Plans and implements quarterly internal customer satisfaction surveys to identify and correct issues and/or improvement of services.  
  • Collaborates with Real Estate Development during new resort and renovation project turnover and special projects. 
  • Oversees all department labor, equipment, and material cost and scheduling. 
  • Evaluates performance of direct reports on an annual basis. 
  • Ensures resort compliance with state, federal, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Must be based in Florida, preferably Jacksonville, or willing to relocate there. 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Must have, as a minimum, ten (10) years’ experience in a Director of Facility level or higher role with a multi-unit operation/company. 
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of facility building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, infrastructure, and grounds. 
  • Must be knowledgeable in working with work order management systems, e.g. Service Channel. 
  • Must have the ability to interpret blueprints and be well versed in building codes and safety regulations. 
  • Must have an understanding of OSHA regulations, ADA compliance, and other relevant safety and accessibility standards.
