What you will do:
Under the supervision of the Surgical Services Director, the Operational Coordinator duties will include assisting the Director in compiling the annual operational and capital budget for Surgical Services Main OR and SC. Communicates with vendors, materials management, physicians, directors, coworkers, hospital departments as appropriate regarding departmental needs. Acquires quotes, assists with financial analysis, setting up equipment trials and reviews for purchases. Assists that Surgical Services Director with coordination, monitoring, evaluation of departments, equipment, instrumentation, contracts and supplies. Assists SS managers ensuring standards and protocols are maintained.
 
Required Education: 
High School education
 
Preferred Education: 
Bachelor level education 

Required Skills:
Written and spoken communications including leading groups. Proficient in gathering and presenting statistical data (excel, powerpoint, word, etc)

Preferred Skills:
Experience with public speaking, team presentations and community.
 
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Certified in related field within 2 years of hire

Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Certification in related field.
 
Required Experience:
5-10 years experience in Surgical Services

Preferred Experience:
Experience as a manager or supervisor within Surgical Services. Direct experience with accreditation survey process.
