With processing plants located across Alaska; including King Cove, Dillingham, Port Moller and Valdez, the Peter Pan family supports a network of 3,000 employees.

Peter Pan Seafood is currently looking for a Sr. Recruiter to spearhead our recruiting strategies and oversee the Recruiting department. This position will be based out of our Bellevue, WA corporate office, with some travel to our remote processing facilities in Alaska required. Under moderate direction from the Director of Human Resources your goal will be to ensure that our Alaska based processing facilities are fully staffed with seasonal production labor for our seasonal operations.

  • Develops and implements effective high volume seasonal recruiting strategies;
  • Lead our team of Recruiters and regularly report on their performance;
  • Maintains and evaluates metrics for each Recruiters and provides timely corrective guidance when needed;
  • Plans and schedules hiring events;
  • Develops advertising strategy and evaluates it's effectiveness through metrics;
  • Prepares advertising budget for review by Supervisor;
  • Manages Processor applicant flow through Jobvite;
  • Reviews recruitment software and recommends changes to the system to maintain efficiency;
  • Reviews company employment website and recommends changes to enhance recruiting;
  • Oversee the on-boarding prior to production workers reporting to their processing facility;
  • Other duties as assigned;

Competencies:

Education & Experience:

  • At least four years proven work experience as a Recruiter in a high-volume recruiting environment;
  • Experience leading a team required;
  • Seafood industry experience a strong plus;
  • Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems and HR databases;
  • Working knowledge of employment laws
  • Experience with phone and in-person interviews; candidate screening and evaluations;
  • Familiarity with social media and other networking sites;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills;
  • Strong decision-making skills;
