We are a company that is growing organically and inorganically. We have a new position for an Associate Director, Indirect Procurement Professional Services to join our Dublin HQ.

The Associate Director, Indirect Procurement Professional Services is responsible for direction and oversight of Perrigo’s Global Professional Services Indirect spend area of $244M+ in spend, including professional services, consulting, HR, and IT. This position will provide direction to Global Indirect Procurement functions across the spend areas. This position will be responsible for contract acquisition and negotiation across professional services categories.

 Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage procurement processes for responsible categories between cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Influence and make decisions through fact-based analysis and understanding of product and process characteristics and network constraints.
  • Develop cost models where appropriate and analyze internal spending/usage patterns and identify order management guidance to lower costs.
  • Manage purchasing activities for all indirect supplies and services globally with overall responsibility for developing strategic purchasing direction and initiatives. Manage indirect procurement metrics.
  • Lead contract negotiations with top suppliers to secure consistent and competitive prices. Manage procurement process and partnerships with suppliers to ensure the procurement of specified commodities to price, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Provide expert-level category knowledge, with knowledge of the supply base and global market.
  • Ensure compliance with contract management policy and monitor key contracts to ensure maximum value capture.
  • Drive purchasing synergies across the company to achieve cost savings across categories.
  • Meet Corporate Inventory, SSSO, Budget, Cost Savings, and PPV goals.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a sourcing/procurement environment
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement management or related area within the pharmaceutical space
  • Expertise in professional services, consulting, HR, and IT
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement principles and best practices
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms and service agreements
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment
