Tasks / Challenges

  • Leading the Accounting and Controlling departments for several entities in the DACH region
  • Development and optimization of the DACH Finance organization and support of the integration process
  • Strategic partnering with Sales and Marketing as well as influencing commercial decisions
  • Responsibility for the operational business in the area of finance such as group accounting in accordance with HGB and US-GAAP, ICT, taxes, corporate finance
  • Responsibility for the efficient reporting including regular reporting to Corporate Finance
  • Responsibility for the budget planning of all entities
  • Planning and controlling profitability by focusing on continuous improvement and cost reduction as well as increasing efficiency
  • Effective cash and liquidity management
  • Cooperation with the Management in formulating and implementing the Group's Corporate Strategy as well as in key business decisions and projects
  • Challenging the teams on opportunities for profitable sustainable growth
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial/commercial processes and systems through further automation and process standardization
  • Proactive cooperation with all relevant interfaces within the organization nationally and internationally
  • Guide the teams in forecast accuracy optimization and assist in driving correct S&OP processes
  • Contact person for external communication with e.g. banks, insurance companies, tax consultants, auditors and public authorities

Profile / Qualification

  • Successfully completed business studies with focus on Finance, Accounting and Controlling
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in a Commercial Management function of a group of companies with a focus on Controlling, ideally in a stock exchanged oriented company
  • Experience in FMCG and/or OTC environment
  • Excellent knowledge on accounting, strategic and operational controlling, tax, Sarbanes-Oxley and US-GAAP
  • Strong knowledge on MS-Office and SAP
  • Strong analytical and strategic mind-set
  • Excellent communication skills as well a convincing and competent appearance
  • Excellent leadership qualities with proven experience in leading, developing and motivating teams 
  • High customer orientation
  • Hands-on mentality and the ability to implement ideas
  • Analytical mindset and true problem solver mentality with high attention to details
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
