Perrigo is looking to add a Production Operator (Dryer Operator) to their Manufacturing team. The shift for this position is 6:00 pm–6:12 am requiring shift, weekend, and holiday work (when applicable).


Job Summary

Demonstrate the ability to fully operate and clean all dryers and associated production equipment. Works with supervision to monitor the operation of the production equipment and product quality as well as to suggest improvements to the process or equipment. Directs the efforts of the laborers, Sanitizers, and other employees that are assigned to perform work on the dryers. Manufacturing responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 Stork Dryer System

  • Operate the Dryer and Evaporator, and Associated Equipment
  • CIP the Dryer and Evaporator
  • Clean all Associated Equipment and Lines
  • Direct Laborers and Helpers Assigned to Assist With the Operation and Cleaning of the Dryer and Evaporator
  • Trouble Shoots Problems
  • Performs In-Process Testing on Product

Marriott Walker Dryer System

  • Operates the Dryer and Evaporator, and Associated Equipment
  • CIP the Dryer and Evaporator
  • Clean all Associated Lines and Equipment
  • Direct Laborers and Helpers Assigned to Assist With the Operation and Cleaning of the Dryer and Evaporator
  • Trouble Shoots Problems
  • Performs In-Process Testing on Product

Agglomerator System

  • Operates the Agglomerator and Associated Equipment
  • Direct Laborers and Helpers Assigned to Assist With the Operation and Cleaning of the Dryer and Evaporator
  • Clean all Associated Lines and Equipment
  • Trouble Shoots Problems
  • Performs In-Process Testing on Product

Other Duties As Assigned

  • Area Cleaning
  • Dryer Floor Assistance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalency

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to read written directions and to achieve a level of understanding of the words so as to allow the operator to fully understand the requirements of each area of his/her responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate in writing to clearly complete all required documentation and to adequately inform other operators and supervision.
  • A successful operator is able to enter basic information into the computer terminals utilizing a keyboard or mouse or a combination of the two devices.
  • Ability to operate the dryer floor equipment utilizing a computer and possess the ability to interpret the ongoing status of the equipment's operational status.

 Physical Requirements
Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, reach, lift 55 lbs on a regular basis. Climb ladders/stairs in an extremely hot environment.
