Role overview

  • Responsible sourcing strategy – Partner with procurement leaders, category buyers, CSR director, Marketing, Business Unit leads, and others to develop a five-year responsible sourcing strategy that will continuously evolve.
  • Oversee/Lead commodity certification body compliance – Accountable for Global Procurement responsible/sustainable sourcing certification track and trace compliance; Reporting; Auditing; Customer/Market support; and Support process design and execution across supply chain functions.
  • Lead supplier Ethical & Social Compliance (E&SC) and Supplier Diversity Program globally – Work with Corporate CSR, Procurement suppliers, Customer QA, Sales and other appropriate internal departments to coordinate and manage supplier Ethical & Social Compliance Program for CSCA & CSCI.
  • Establish Center of Excellence for responsible/sustainable sourcing and serve as Subject Matter Expert for responsible/sustainable sourcing – expert in trends, certifications, and voice of customer requirements.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree ideally with focus on sustainability; graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in social or environmental sustainability.
  • Understanding of consumer good manufacturing supply chain with experience working with factories in US, Europe and abroad; social and environmental audit experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with human rights standards and organizations including, Fair Labor Association, SA8000, Ethical Trade Initiative, SMETA, RSWA, WCA, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with people from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • Self-directed, don’t need or want a lot of over-the-shoulder management; ability to create and maintain timelines and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Extreme attention to detail and prove ability to organize complex datasets.
  • Experience with complex data modeling and procurement experience.
