SEC Financial Reporting Analyst - Relocation Support Provided

Perrigo is searching for a full-time experienced SEC Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Global Financial Reporting Team located at our US Headquarters in Allegan, Michigan.  In this role, the Analyst is responsible for gathering and preparing financial information for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, is actively involved in the monthly financial close process and may be assigned to other special projects as needed.  The Analyst will work with the SEC reporting team, interact regularly with other internal departments (Legal, Tax, Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis, Internal Audit, and Business Units), global subsidiaries, coordinate with external auditors, and have high visibility and exposure to senior management.   


  • Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings
  • Prepare schedules to support financial statement disclosures
  • Review iXBRL tags in SEC filings
  • Monitor changes in US GAAP and SEC requirements to ensure accounting practices, reporting, and disclosures comply with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors
  • Execute SOX controls related to the company’s public filings
  • Perform technical accounting research
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Complete certain monthly, quarterly and annual census reports
  • Complete special projects as requested
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with CPA designation
  • Three to five years of professional experience in SEC financial reporting at a publicly traded company or equivalent exposure to SEC financial reporting at a public accounting firm
  • Able to adapt to changes in reporting requirements and impromptu requests
  • Continuous desire to learn and recognize and implement process improvements
  • Self-motivated and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and experience interpreting and applying SEC reporting regulations
  • Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and completes work with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong computer proficiency with Excel. Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and Workiva, including iXBRL tagging, is preferred
  • Understands SOX control requirements
