Intern - Quality Engineer – Oral Care Business Unit [Ranir]

  • Collaborate with team to review consumer complaint and participate in investigations that include sample reviews, root cause analysis, complaint trending review
  • Conduct nonconforming material investigations including root cause analysis, material disposition, and escalation as appropriate
  • Support Process Validation activities and track findings or opportunities for improvement throughout
  • Support thorough investigations of quality issues and effective Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Support Product Design activities including review of specs, drawings, and perform statistical analysis for specifications
  • Participate in Risk Management (RM) activities included Design/Product Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) and reporting throughout
  • Analyze the configuration and quality of finished goods and raw materials according to product and material specifications; Ensure compliance to Ranir policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other Quality Engineering Projects as assigned



  • Enrolled in an accredited quality engineering, engineering, science, or technical program or equivalent with a minimum of 2 completed years of undergraduate studies
  • Preferred: Applicable studies or work experience in equivalent courses in statistics, risk management, design of experiments, statistical sampling, and root cause analysis.
  • Preferred: Minimum 6 months prior experience working in corporate or manufacturing environments, with working understanding of quality’s role in the manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present to executive level leadership, successfully work with peer group, and communicate with frontline organization
  • Ability to work with speed in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands to quickly deliver customer solutions to market
  • Proficiency with PC skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and with the ability to quickly learn various in-house software applications as needed
  • Authorized to work in the United States without work sponsorship
  • Available to maintain employment through the length of the assignment estimated for May 2020 through August 2020
