GENERAL SUMMARY

Cell Maintenance Technicians must have a substantial background in maintaining the daily activities of a maintenance department in a manufacturing and automation environment. This position requires thorough working knowledge including primary mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machine controls.

 

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTY EXAMPLES

  • Performing major repairs/rebuilds of machines
  • Identifying opportunities for, suggesting, and helping to implement process improvements
  • Will assist with the management of retrofit, rebuild and upgrade projects
  • Training of teammates
  • Maintain and update machine prints/documentation
  • Identifying opportunities for and implementing automation and machine building projects
  • Ability to troubleshoot and service complex electrical and machine controls circuits defined as:
    • Conveyor drive system
    • Motor starter circuits including Variable Frequency Drives
    • I/O—Switch functions
    • Equipment wiring/ grounding techniques
    • Relay and PLC ladder logic
    • A/C & D/C Electronic concepts
  • Skilled in Pneumatics/Vacuum

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have 3-6 years of “On Floor” experience with manufacturing and automation assembly equipment
  • Must be proficient in electrical troubleshooting
  • Must be proficient with robots and pick & place systems
  • Must be computer literate; proficient in MS Office, various robotic programming
  • Willingness to work an off shift when required, as well as weekends
  • Must be familiar with current machinery and control technologies.
  • Must be computer literate; proficient in MS Office, various robotic programming
  • Fabrication skills, including the ability to weld (MIG & TIG)
