With lots of well-known brands like Davitamon, Biodermal, Prevalin, Lactacyd or Wartner, Perrigo is by far the largest supplier of self care products in de Netherlands. Our company has an exciting new vacancy within the Commercial Strategy team. We are searching for a Category Manager Health, who is decisive and entrepreneurial and knows the right moves to drive the growth of the categories and brands.

Perrigo Netherlands, previously called Omega Pharma, is part of the American based self-care specialist Perrigo which is active in more than thirty countries and has over two thousand brands in its international portfolio. In the Netherlands Perrigo benefits from the scale and the knowledge of the American mother company, but operates entirely autonomously at local level. Based on the right insights and research, our team in Rotterdam decides which products will be introduced in the Dutch market, under which brand name and with which commercial and marketing strategy.

VACANCY: CATEGORY MANAGER HEALTH

One of the greatest challenges for the Category Manager Health is ensuring that this success will be continued and multiple health care brands will grow further. The role comes with great responsibilities and challenges, requiring a high degree of ownership.

The Category Manager him/herself sits at the table with the customer - retailers within drug, food and online - and together with them does everything to bring the categories to a higher level. For example by determining the right commercial strategy for the categories and brands, in terms of pricing, promotions, activations and distribution and build and implement strong launch plans for new introductions. All to make sure that the shopper, retailer and Perrigo are optimally served.

The Category Manager also plays a pivotal role between the marketing, account management and supply departments and ensures that the winning go-to market strategy is optimally translated at all levels. This makes the role not only an analytical and executive, but also a highly strategic one.  In addition, internal cooperation is of great importance.

The Category Manager is part of the Commercial Strategy and Implementation (CS&I) team, which consists of category management and shopper marketing. You will report directly to the Commercial Strategy Director.
