As Perrigo’s Senior Compensation Consultant, you will have the opportunity to directly influence and contribute to the Total Rewards strategy by leveraging your strong consultative skills and analytical mindset.  The key areas of focus are:

  • Counsels and educates business leaders and employees on the company’s compensation philosophy, salary structure and competitive market for base, bonus and sales incentive plans.
  • Develops and designs competitive salary structures, incentive programs, sales compensation plans, compensation procedures/policies and other Total Rewards programs.
  • Provides compensation and job evaluation recommendations for leadership positions across assigned client group.
  • Leads and participates in various market analysis and ad-hoc compensation related projects.


MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Studies and analyzes the design, communication, implementation and administration of compensation programs. Monitors trends in compensation and recommends enhancements, changes or additions that will assure the retention, motivation, and recruitment of key personnel.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends solutions to resolve issues specific to compensation programs.
  • Acts as a resource to business leaders regarding incentive plan design, salary administration and job evaluation.
  • Support the design and strategy of the annual compensation planning cycle.
  • Provide support as needed in the analysis of salary survey results and other available information sources to ensure the competitiveness of compensation structure and salary ranges.
  • Complete annual review of market competitiveness and update compensation plans accordingly.


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related field required, combined with five or more years of experience as a compensation professional.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compensation best practices and principles and experience developing and implementing compensation programs
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to form partnerships and advise on complex compensation transactions
  • Demonstrated experience collecting, extracting and interpreting data to provide meaningful solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act and other employment related laws and regulations
  • Experienced in Microsoft applications, particularly strong with Excel
  • Experience with HRIS data systems and market pay database management systems preferred.
  • Experience in a global organization strongly preferred.
  • Project Management skills helpful.
