The Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant is responsible for assessing and understanding the business L&D needs in order to recommend and implement solutions to the business in the areas of individual development, leader-led learning, and the adoption of digital/on-demand learning. The L&D Consultant will be responsible for implementing and reinforcing global platforms / solutions within assigned client areas in addition to developing and implementing recommendations to meet local needs within assigned client areas.  This position will need to understand the internal/external influences on the business needs and be able to recommend a solution.

Responsibilities include consulting, developing, customizing, or identify external learning solutions to meet needs of client, facilitating training courses (in person and virtual), and program management.

Principal Responsibilities

25%: Program Management / Implementation

  • Design, develop, and implement L&D programs, processes, and tools
  • Collaborate with global L&D team to leverage existing third-party relationships; evaluate and identify and manage local vendors to provide additional support, where necessary
  • Promote the use and implementation of tools, technologies and data insights to gain efficiency and effectiveness in delivering L&D solutions
  • Provide instructional design support for internal development of training solutions
  • Ensure delivery is compliant regionally with laws, regulations, and corporate policies
  • Monitor key performance metrics that drive high performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

25%: Consulting

  • Provide effective L&D consulting services to Perrigo’s businesses and functions
  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct needs analyses
  • Consult with businesses about L&D programs to answer questions and guide them
  • Provide thought leadership in recommending and delivering L&D solutions in the areas of individual development and leader-led learning
  • Support the awareness of and adoption of digital/on-demand learning for employees and managers

25%: Facilitation

  • Provide effective facilitation (in person and virtual) to Perrigo’s businesses and functions in support of L&D solutions

25%: Curation/Customization of Content

  • Partner with the business to curate, customize (light design/development) L&D content to develop solutions to meet client needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of L&D or relevant business experience
  • Expertise in L&D methodologies, tools, technologies and processes
  • Proven consulting and contracting skills that drive high performance
  • Program/Project Management experience
  • Instructional design/content curation experience
  • Experience with virtual facilitation using WebEx
  • English fluency required; multilingual preferred
