Human Resources Manager  
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)  
Greater Indianapolis (Noblesville), On-site   
  
  
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to build and lead the company’s foundational HR function during a period of rapid growth. This role will be responsible for designing and executing all core HR processes, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, culture building, HR compliance, and implementing their first integrated HR software platform (e.g., Workday or equivalent).

and build scalable, people-centric systems that support high-performance teams.  
  
Key Responsibilities: 
  
Talent Acquisition and Recruiting 
  • Own the full-cycle talent acquisition process from sourcing through offer.  
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for engineering, operations, and corporate roles.  
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role profiles and interview processes.  
  • Conduct initial resume screens and first-round interviews.  
  
HR Systems, Processes and Compliance 
  • Lead implementation of the company’s HRIS (e.g., Workday, BambooHR).  
  • Maintain accurate employee records, compensation data, and organizational documentation.  
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.  
  • Develop and maintain company policies, handbook updates, and documentation standards.  
  
Payroll, Benefits and Total Rewards 
  • Manage payroll processing and coordinate with finance to ensure accurate, timely pay.  
  • Administer benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.  
  • Oversee annual open enrollment and vendor relationships.  
  • Coordinate with finance and senior management to ensure equity/stock option program is accurate. 
  
Performance Management and Culture   
  • Design and implement performance review processes, goal-setting frameworks, and feedback cadences.  
  • Support managers with coaching, employee relations, and performance conversations.  
  • Lead culture-building initiatives that support teamwork, accountability, and engagement.  
  
Onboarding and Employee Experience  
  • Create and refine onboarding workflows to ensure strong early-stage employee integration.  
  • Manage training records, compliance training, and employee development planning.  
  • Maintain a positive, transparent, and values-driven employee experience.  
  
Qualifications  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.  
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience 
  • Experience in building the from ground up the first HR department within a growing startup or expanding business 
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing or similar environments working with employees at all levels.  
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems (Workday, BambooHR, Rippling, or similar).  
  • Experience managing recruiting pipelines and leading full-cycle hiring.  
  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.  
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.  
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a dynamic environment.
