Location: San Francisco
Salary: $120,000 - $140,000/year
Our client is a pioneering health technology company based in San Francisco, dedicated to enhancing wellness through innovative in-home health monitoring solutions.
They are seeking an Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join their lean and agile team. This role involves ownership of their cloud backend infrastructure, data pipelines, and APIs for their health monitoring devices from design, development, testing, and deployment. You will be instrumental in building new product features, working independently within a collaborative startup environment.
As the Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer, you will:
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of their backend cloud systems, data pipelines, and APIs. Working closely with the client’s firmware and machine learning teams, you’ll help bring integrated, impactful health technologies to life.
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure and backend services.
- Build, optimize, and maintain robust data pipelines and APIs.
- Develop secure integrations with external partners and EHR systems.
- Own infrastructure reliability, monitoring, CI/CD, and cloud deployment practices.
- Work cross-functionally with firmware, ML, and product teams on system-wide architecture and feature development.
As the Infrastructure Engineer, your background should include:
- 3+ years of experience in cloud systems development (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production data pipelines in the cloud
- 2+ years industry experience with Python
- Deep understanding of best practices across networking, security, CI/CD, and IaC
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, with the ability to write clean, reliable code
- Track record of independent problem-solving and the ability to drive projects to completion proactively
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly acquire new technical skills to meet project demands
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Interest in building impactful products in the health sector
- Familiarity with a startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with AWS systems
- Snowflake expertise
- Experience in the healthcare space such as EHR integrations
- This position requires applicants to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States and come to our client’s San Francisco office at least 3 days per week
