Membership Account Executive – Investor Organization
Location: Silicon Valley/San Jose
Salary: $65k to $75k base with commission

In this role, you will be responsible for driving increased membership for this global investment community of accredited private equity angel investors, venture capitalists and corporate/institutional investors.  
As the Membership Account Executive, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships amongst current members. In addition to driving retention through relationships, you will build a rolodex of potential new members through a wide array of channels. This is a front facing role and the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships should be something you are extremely passionate about and are confident in reaching out to individuals you have not met before. 
 
You must have a professional decorum and be comfortable working with high-net-worth individuals.  You will be a strategic thinker with an amiable personality, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Engage with current members to prospect for potential new members contact
  • External and internal events – attend 2 industry events per week to meet guests and potential members
  • Work with marketing/social media on brand messaging and network promotion
  • Lead generation, lead follow up, make calls, texting, other methods of communication
  • Research potential members and do outreach communication
  • Manage overall on-boarding and promotion processes for members
  • Manage membership renewals and cancellations
  • Work closely with Social Media Coordinator on brand messaging and promotio
 
To be considered:
  • Minimum of four years’ work experience in Membership Sales/Business Development
  • Initiative-taking, driven to succeed does not need supervision
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills, a must.  
  • Highly skilled in social media (i.e., X, LinkedIn, FB) for business development and research.
  • History of exceeding business and sales targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong “get stuff done” mind set, no job too big, no task too small.
  • Highly organized with an eye for detail, excellent follow up/follow through.
  • Able to stay calm in high pressure situations…even when things don’t go right. 
  • Interest in startup ecosystem.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Team player with desire to collaborate across client’s Silicon Valley/San Jose and global teams.
  • Able to address issues/concerns directly in a professional manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
