Chief Financial Officer – Remote

Salary:  $150K - $250K

 

Our client has created a portable power supply to replace diesel generators for SMB, Enterprise, Municipal, and Government customers. Founded in 2015, their product provides a clean and quiet alternative to gas generators.

 

They are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned professional with a history of managing finance and accounting for a fast-growing company. As a key member of the senior management team, the CFO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CFO will be a crucial owner of this growth process, ensuring that the company can deliver on its vision and revenue targets.  This role can sit remotely anywhere in the US.

 

As the Chief Financial Officer, your daily duties will include:

        Leading all finance and accounting responsibilities for our client, including leading all fundraising efforts.

        Assessing financial risks and opportunities while developing risk management plans.

        Budgeting for and tracking financial goals/objectives.

        Managing financial forecasting and reporting, including audit activity.

        Managing long-term financial planning and appropriate financial instruments.

        Work closely with CEO to ensure clear and efficient operations, integrating financial results into operations, and delivering on revenue targets.

        Developing, implementing and monitoring financial control systems and policies to ensure that financial goals are communicated to each business department.

        Collaborating with other senior leadership to ensure goals are met through sound implementation of financial and accounting systems, infrastructure, policies, processes, and staff.

 

As the Chief Financial Officer, your background should include:

        10+ years leadership at executive level, either VP or C-suite

        Previous capital fundraising experience required.

        Previous manufacturing or CPG experience (e.g accounting for inventory) strongly preferred.

        Strong entrepreneurial spirit and being known for being hands-on in everything you do.

        Prior and/or current start-up experience required.

        Bachelor’s degree (Masters/MBA preferred) in Business, Management, or Finance

        Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.

        Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.

        Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.

        Getting things done - you are strategic and tactical - rolling up your sleeves is what you do, not what you delegate.
