Event & Sales Associate
Location: Remote – West Coast
Full-time, direct hire position
Salary:  $65,000. -$70,000 plus commission ($100K OTE)

Our client is an early-stage investor network which includes Investors, Entrepreneurs, Companies and Sponsors.  In this role, you will be involved in activities that include driving revenue through membership, deal flow, sponsorships, and other channels. The Associate’s ability to support and work closely with the Northern California team and global leadership executives is crucial and this role will include responsibility for channeling marketing and brand awareness at external and internal events.

   

 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Due Diligence – act as project manager/ resource for members completing reports. 
  • Company Management – generate & maintain high quality deal flow, review applications, communicate stages of our client’s process to all companies 
  • Investor relations.
  • External events – attend 2 industry events per week: source deal flow, potential investors, and potential sponsors.
  • Internal events – help the team execute monthly meetings and the bi-annual conferences Logistics – help with planning and execution of all our client’s meetings and Expos.
 
To be considered:
  • Minimum of two to four years’ work experience in a Sales/Business Development/ Marketing (including Channel) position.
  • Self-motivated, driven to succeed does not need supervision.
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills, a must.   
  • Highly skilled in social media (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn, FB) for business development/marketing.
  • Track record of exceeding business and sales targets.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong “get stuff done” mind set, no job too big, no task too small.
  • Highly organized with an eye for detail, excellent follow up/follow through.
  • Able to stay calm in high pressure situations…even when things don’t go right. 
  • Interest in startup ecosystem.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Team player with desire to collaborate across client’s Northern California and global teams.  
  • Able to address issues/concerns directly in a professional manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
