Business and Data Analyst

The PENTA Building Group is searching for a Business and Data Analyst to join our team in Las Vegas, NV!
The Business and Data Analyst will provide solutions to reporting, data warehousing, AI, and other data driven needs within the organization. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are either early career with a firm educational background, or mid-career with work experience who are looking to be a part of a fun and collaborative IT and technical group with exposure to all of the major functional areas of the company. This position will report to the Data Engineering Manager.
At PENTA, a Business and Data Analyst is responsible for:
- Collaborate with the major functional departments within the company to gather business processes and reporting requirements.
- Use the discovered business requirements to create reports (Crystal, Power BI, Power BI paginated, etc.), dashboards, Power Apps, Power Automate Scripts, or any other vehicle to organize and disseminate information to the company.
- Work with SSIS, SQL, SFTP, and other 3rd party jobs that drive data automation.
- Work with the Data Engineering Manager and other stakeholders to help work on the corporate data warehousing strategy and assist in implementing the technical framework for it.
- Provide end user support and troubleshooting for any of the solutions created.
- Create and manage technical documentation for all the above
We trust that you have:
- 2-5 years of prior data or business analyst experience, preferably in a technical role working closely with an IT \ Data \ Application Support department
- A college degree (preferred) in IT, Business Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience`
- Certifications, work experience, or college work specifically addressing Database Administration, Power BI reporting w\ DAX, AI, business analytics, SQL and SSIS
- Examples of completed projects in the above, especially relating to examples of Power BI reports and dashboards
- The ability to learn on the fly, deal with ambiguity, manage multiple tasks and find resolutions under tight deadlines.
- The quality of being a self-starter who is always looking ahead and ready to embrace new challenges.
- Excellent communication and service skills.
- An eagerness to learn additional technical skills in a very open and collaborative Tech group.
- The flexibility to travel to offices within Nevada, Arizona, California, and beyond as necessary.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
