Position Summary
The Early Careers Recruiter supports McCarthy’s early career programs in NorCal by owning day‑to‑day campus engagement, candidate pipeline management, and a best‑in‑class candidate experience. They build strong relationships with priority campuses, student organizations, and faculty; co‑own shared campus plans with SoCal; and partner closely with the NorCal Talent Acquisition Business Partner and Hiring Managers to meet hiring goals for Project Interns, Project Engineers, and other salaried early‑career roles.
Campus Partnerships and Brand
- Build and steward relationships with priority campuses and student orgs; plan on‑campus presence that aligns to hiring plans and brand standards.
- Co‑own shared campus strategies with SoCal (and other regions as assigned) to deliver consistent calendars, messaging, and candidate handoffs.
- Manage a prioritized campus portfolio based on hiring outcomes, business demand, mobility, and diversity goals; adjust priorities each season with ECPM/TA leadership.
- Manage candidate pipeline from first touch through offer: timely screens, consistent next‑step decisions, and clear handoffs to hiring teams.
- Coordinate interview days, information sessions, and candidate follow‑up for early‑career and select salaried roles.
- Partner with the NorCal Talent Acquisition Business Partner and Hiring Managers to align campus hiring with regional workforce plans and BU needs.
- Own end‑to‑end event logistics (registration, payments, booth preparation, shipping, and promotional materials) and execute information sessions and on‑campus networking.
- Track and report pipeline health and outcomes; maintain high data accuracy in systems and shared dashboards.
- Participates in the national approach to data tracking and delivery and works to eliminate data silos or inconsistent reporting practices.
- Support intern onboarding, kickoff/close‑out events, and evaluation/offer processes in partnership with program leaders.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in recruiting or HR; experience with campus/early‑career programs preferred.
- Strong relationship‑builder with candidates, universities, and internal stakeholders; excellent project management and communication skills.
- Data‑driven approach to pipeline health; proficiency in ATS/CRM and spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel based on campus/event calendars and reliable travel flexibility during peak seasons. Estimated travel is 25-40%.
- Construction/engineering industry recruiting experience.
- Experience supporting shared campuses across multiple regions.
For Northern California Area locations only, the salary range for this position is: $70,000-$80,000, depending on location and experience. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
