SUMMARY
The Admissions Coordinator, under the supervision of a Program Director, contributes to program
excellence and integrity by coordinating client admissions into Camelot’s programs, and carries out direct
clinical care and administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Working with the Program Director to maintain the appropriate number of admissions while
providing client-centered care by keeping in mind the availability of services to meet the clients’
needs.

Performing intake assessments and completing admission packets.
Reviewing referral material and assigning referrals to clinicians in a timely manner.
Coordinating admissions, including but not limited to completing paperwork, communicating with
referral sources, and completing initial authorizations.

Marketing and building internal and external relationships.
Participating in therapeutic interventions, court hearings, and school and community meetings as
required for the program.

Handling crisis and high-risk situations.
Participating in the on-call process.
Providing families (foster, biological, or adoptive) with training and support needed to create a
therapeutic environment in the home, including ongoing innovative intervention sessions.
Completing documentation on treatment interventions, meetings, and treatment plans for assigned
clients within mandated time frames.

Participating in peer audits.
Documenting supervision notations and activity logs on a daily basis.
Assisting with chart audits; closing out discharged client files.
And other duties as assigned.

Admissions Coordinator
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•

Master’s Degree in a Human Service discipline from an accredited four-year college or university
Experience working with children/adolescents and families in a therapeutic treatment environment
and in compliance with State and/or contractual requirements

Sensitive to other cultures and socioeconomic levels
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

CPR and First Aid certified, or be willing to obtain certification before working with clients required
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to
the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or
innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations
on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations,
and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution,
determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling
theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with
several abstract and concrete variables.
