About this role
A person in this position functions under the working title of Training Coordinator and is under the direction of the Support Services or Operational Director. A person in this job classification is responsible for the execution of established corporate training curricula which includes both of state mandated training course and customized training as determined appropriate by program leadership. A person in this position may be required to travel to various locations as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organize, schedule and facilitate training for all new staff members in accordance with approved curriculum.
- Compiles employee training documentation
- Assist in the development and updating of staff training curriculum
- Works closely with recruiting resources and/or onboarding staff to onboard new hires using company resources and procedures
- Monitors training requirements and coordinates with managerial staff to ensure staff meets company requirement
- Provides management with feedback regarding staff ability and knowledge to perform assigned duties
- Attend educational seminars to maintain current training tools and methodology
- Maintain working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Cross train other team members
- Completes or assists with completion of onboarding activities including interviewing, completion of pre-employment paperwork, and scheduling of new activities such as physical examinations
Does the following apply to you?
- At least five years of experience working directly with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
- Organization and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills (MS Office Suite software)
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in establishing priorities
- Independence on projects, ability to complete/follow up tasks without direct supervision.
