SUMMARY
The Benefits Coordinator role is responsible for the day-to-day administration of all benefits programs, including health and welfare options for all Pathways employees. The Benefits Coordinator serves as the primary liaison with employees and benefit vendors for all benefit related issues. The Benefits Coordinator ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides day-to-day benefits administration including all benefit offerings such as medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, COBRA, flexible spending, health savings, life, ancillary and 401(k) programs.
Provides education and support to all employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and plan provisions.
Coordinates with benefits vendors to resolve all benefit-related issues, including eligibility, enrollments, pay, and changes in benefits and data transfer.
Conducts benefits orientations for new hires.
Audits enrollment, payroll deduction reports, engages employees for missed benefits and process adjustments or refunds related to benefits premiums changes. Provide support with the annual benefits audits and reporting, including ACA, Non-Discrimination Testing, and other benefits related matters.
Reconciles benefits provider billings and prepare documents for payment of invoices.
Creates communication materials about benefits—for example, new hire enrollment packages, brochures, newsletters, articles, and intranet information.
Assists with the Perks at Pathways Program.
Identifies and escalates priority issues to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards.
Performs other duties, as assigned

COMPENSATION
$22.50/hr - $25.00/hr depending on experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of benefits related and ADP experience
Knowledge of benefit related Federal and State regulations impacting employee benefits programs, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and Section 125
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with wide groups of directors. Ability to make effective presentations.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Advance proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables and lookups)
Experience with working with and securing confidential information
