About the Role
Clarvida is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our Camino Nuevo location in Santa Ana, CA. Working under the direction and supervision of a medical doctor, this full-time role involves client education about medications, disease states (TB, HIV, hepatitis), substance use, and case coordination for clients with complex medical and psychiatric needs. The LVN will support the clinical team by managing medication interactions, performing follow-ups, and assisting with client care across behavioral health and medical settings. Must be bilingual Spanish. Salary $34/HR full benefits.

Responsibilities
- Educate clients on medications, side effects, and substance use
- Provide case coordination for clients with multiple medications or medical/psychiatric comorbidities
- Under physician supervision, dispense or administer medications as authorized
- Maintain collaboration with pharmacies and prescribing providers to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Establish relationships with community providers and resources for client referrals
- Teach clients about diseases such as TB, HIV, and hepatitis
- Counsel clients on effects of drugs and alcohol
- Provide parenting, child development, and related educational support
- Document nursing interventions, client progress, and care coordination efforts
- Support Clarvida’s mission: promoting recovery, client strengths, dignity, and wellness
- Participate in quality improvement, continuous learning, and organizational initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing or psychiatric technician program
- Valid LVN license in California
- Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
- At least 1 year of acute care and community clinic nursing experience (preferred)
- Experience with perinatal populations and substance abuse settings required
- Experience working with severe and persistent mental illness populations
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer operations
