SUMMARY
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) performs a variety of job duties under the supervision of the State Clinical Director. The BCBA develops and directs the individual treatment of clients collaboratively with consumers and families. The BCBA provides consultation, assessment, observation, treatment plan development, data collection, and analysis specific to identified target behaviors. The BCBA develops and implements a Treatment Plan with the child and family, identifying and highlighting child, family, educational, social, and recreational strengths as well as areas in which the individual needs improvement. Provision of this service may include preference assessments, reinforcement, extinction, time-out strategies, or other rehabilitative activities as prescribed by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist and referenced in the client’s Individual Treatment Plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage client caseloads, including treatment planning, programming, parent training, etc.
- Collaborate with and provide support to parents and/or community officials.
- Supervise Registered Behavioral Technician’s (RBTs) on your cases conducting feedback sessions, modeling, and leading competency renewals as needed.
- Provide ongoing training, support, and monthly team observations with client teams.
- Meet assigned billing quotas.
- Implement rewards and consequences relating to appropriate and inappropriate behavior.
- Coordinate clinical information/direction with other professionals and agencies. Exchanges information clearly and concisely with the appropriate parties and concerns.
- Complete all paperwork and documentation in accordance with established company policies and procedures and acceptable clinical practices within designated timeframes.
- Complete initial and ongoing assessment using direct and indirect methods.
- Performs Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) as needed.
- Develop individualized client treatment based off assessment results.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.
- Remains updated on evidenced based behavioral practices.
- Provides culturally aware and competent service provision
- Teaches skills related to adaptive functioning using least restrictive methods.
- Accepts cases and works within his/her own educational, training, and competency guidelines to ensure ethical and effective treatment delivery.
- Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with BACB ethics codes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high quality clinical supervision on an ongoing basis to the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support the technician, modify treatment as needed, and ensure progress of client.
- Ensure all RBTs meet the BACB’s regulatory requirements for supervision.

TRAVEL
- This position requires travel up to 50% of the time.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES
- Master’s degree in BACB approved field.
- Active BCBA certification.
- Completion of 8-hour BACB Supervisor Training course (for BCBA roles).
- Active Behavior Analyst License.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 1 year related experience and/or training.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Language Skills
Ability to develop, read and analyze treatment plans. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries regarding clients and/or families. Ability to document data and effectively consult with treatment team members both verbally and in writing. Ability to transfer skills to the care giver.
- Mathematical Skills
Ability to understand and apply general math skills.
- Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, implement effective intervention from the treatment plan and draw valid conclusions.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Thorough knowledge of the basic principles of psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Thorough knowledge of mental disabilities and treatments and social implications.
- Thorough knowledge of behavior analysis, psychological techniques, theories, and practices employed in the modification of human behavior.
- Must possess the ability to analyze complex issues and solve them correctly and creatively. Must possess strong communication skills in both a verbal and written format.
- Must possess the ability to meet established deadlines and schedules.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters relating to the clients and the clients family.
- Must be organized and efficient.
- Must possess leadership qualities.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to assign directives responsibly in a clear, concise manner.
Must be able to implement corrective action relating to the various work situations when appropriate
