SUMMARY
The Family Connections Coordinator provides training and supervision to meet the requirements of the 
Family Connections Program (FC) and directly supports the Family Connections Supervisors. The Family 
Connections Coordinator assists Family Connections Supervisors in the shadowing and supervision of the 
Family Connections Consultants (FCC) in the Family Connections Program. The Family Connections 
Coordinator is part of the HRT Management Team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attends FC Supervisor Core Training and ensures Family Connections Consultants (FCC) deliver all 
elements of the Family Connections program, as described in the Arizona Department of Child Safety 
Family Connections Program Manual Version 1.0 including initial outreach and engagement, 
Comprehensive Family Assessment (CFA), service planning, change focused intervention, evaluation 
of change (EOC), and service closure.
• Provides coaching and skill development to FCCs during individual supervisory consultation, 
providing constructive feedback applied to real cases. This includes before initial outreach; after 
initial outreach and engagement; during Comprehensive Family Assessment (CFA); during service 
planning; during change-focused intervention; during the Evaluation of Change (EOC) before service 
closure; and whenever a parent/caregiver declines the FC program or misses appointments.
• Ensures that all services, procedures, and forms provided are culturally relevant, linguistically 
appropriate, and gender responsive (including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning 
(LGBTQ).
• Carries a decreased caseload based off of the needs of the program.
• Assists FC Supervisor on shadowing FCC on home visits a minimum of one time per quarter during 
the 1st year of employment and semi-annually thereafter. 
• Provides supervision coverage for Supervisors.
• Responsible for communicating with FC Supervisors and Program Director about staff concerns. 
• Oversees the security and maintenance of records, documents, and statistics related to the treatment 
goals and objectives for the clients. 
• Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner as outlined in FC manual and 
provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.
• Ensures supervised staff receive individual and group supervision monthly as outlined in the FC 
manual. 
• Attends 15 hours of job-related training per year.

• Meets weekly with the PSP management team to discuss program fidelity, and attends HRT 
management meetings, DCS/State Program meetings. 
• Maintains contact and working relationships with referral sources, problem solving if needed.
• Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff at all times.
• Models and ensures all program norms are upheld without compromise.
• Acts as a positive role model and mentor for staff and families.
• Treats others with respect, confronts negative behavior, and supports confrontation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Helps facilitate weekly group and individual supervision as needed.
• Overseeing and training Family Connection Consultants in accordance with the Family Connections 
Scope of Work and Program Manual. 
• Helps assist supervisors in required shadowing of staff and provide staff with feedback concerning 
their work.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Masters’ Degree in Social Work or related master’s degree and one year of human services work related 
experience required. 
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Minimum age requirement is 18 per contract.

• Must meet the requirements to be a safe transporter and driver. 
• Must possess a current Arizona State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the 
past three (3) years. 
• Must have personal vehicle liability insurance and vehicle registration as required.
• Must be able to pass a DCS Clearance with no substantiated reports.
• When required, the ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and if requested 
a physical exam.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong knowledge of Arizona Family Connections process, practice, and components. 
• Skills, knowledge, and ability to instruct clients in the following topics: child development, home 
management, personal problem solving, accessing community services, and supports domestic violence 
issues, appropriate discipline and childcare techniques and age-appropriate parenting skills.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience within a human services program/agency preferred.
