About your Role:
As an ACT Substance Abuse Specialist, you will be a critical partner for adults navigating severe mental illness and/or addiction. You’ll conduct comprehensive assessments, provide individual and family counseling, deliver case management services, and connect clients to essential community resources—all in alignment with their treatment plan goals. In this role, you’ll participate in an on-call rotation every 6-8 weeks, earning an additional day of PTO to support work-life balance, whether or not you receive calls. We’re committed to your professional development with training in initial assessments, treatment planning, documentation, psychopharmacology, child abuse and neglect reporting, patient rights, and crisis intervention, ensuring you’re fully equipped for meaningful impact.
About the ACT Program
The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model, is one of the most widely recognized evidence-based approaches for supporting adults with severe mental illness. By providing person-centered assistance—including housing, recovery, vocational support, nursing, psychiatric, and therapeutic services—ACT helps clients transition to lower levels of care or move toward greater independence, enhancing their quality of life.

Does the following apply to you?
- Licensed as an LPC, LSCW, LPC-S, BAC-S, LMSW, CSW or PLPC
- 2+ years of professional experience supporting individuals with serious mental illness
- Preferred: personal substance recovery or professional background working with this population
