About this role
As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will work with a team of counselors, nurses, therapists, and case managers, providing services to adult clients in the community focusing on aspects of substance abuse and other mental health issues.  You will conduct initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths, substance abuse, mental health treatment needs, and biopsychosocial histories.  You will meet with clients regularly to provide individual and group SA counseling, intervention techniques, and crisis assessments, and link clients to community resources such as AA as needed.  
Perks of this role:
  • $45,000-$55,000 salary (dependent on certification)

What we are looking for:
  • Required certification as CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T or CCIT
  • Valid GA driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Satisfactory results of Criminal background check
