About the Role
The Bilingual Pre-Licensed Therapist provides mental health treatment services in a school-based, full-service partnership program serving youth and families. This role focuses on maximizing client independence and family empowerment through individual, group, and family counseling, while supporting personal, social, educational, and vocational development. Services include therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with schools and community partners. Cornerstone is currently partnered with 19 school sites within San Diego Unified School District and serves the Mid-City area of San Diego.
The Bilingual Pre-Licensed Therapist provides mental health treatment services in a school-based, full-service partnership program serving youth and families. This role focuses on maximizing client independence and family empowerment through individual, group, and family counseling, while supporting personal, social, educational, and vocational development. Services include therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with schools and community partners. Responsibilities
· Provide individual, group, and family therapy for children, youth, and adults
· Conduct counseling and therapeutic interviews to assist individuals in gaining insight, defining goals, and planning actions
· Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and program development
· Provide crisis intervention consultation and related services
· Support educational and vocational development planning for clients
· Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in medical records
· Evaluate client data to identify problems and determine appropriate treatment or referrals
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
· Monitor and follow up on treatment outcomes for effectiveness
· Provide community education and consultation to schools, agencies, and organizations
· Link clients to intensive interventions and community resources
· Teach educational classes such as parenting, domestic violence, and anger management
· Provide on-site therapy within school settings
· Meet monthly productivity requirements as determined by supervisor
· Transport clients as needed using personal vehicle
· Participate in on-call and after-hours duties as assigned
· Attend staff meetings, trainings, and team collaboration activities
· Perform administrative and additional duties as required

Required Qualifications
· Master’s degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
· Registered as Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)
· Minimum of two years of experience working with mental health patients (inpatient and/or outpatient)
· Direct clinical and case management experience with knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy
· Strong clinical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
· Intermediate computer skills
· Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and proof of education required
